CAMP BATAAN ‘09: A Recap

Camp Bataan has ended yet the memory lives on to each one of us who became part of it. More than seven hundred people attended the five-day event to learn more about the environment and as the days unfold not only learnings were earned but also friendship and camaraderie among the sandayos (campers).

ATTENTION: CAMP 2009 Contests Guidelines
Contest mechanics are now available. Due to length, we will not be posting the guidelines here but you may request for a soft copy by leaving a reply to this post. Delegates are encouraged to join the seven (7) competitions in store for you:
1. Camp Song - create an original composition about your life as a camper or a science clubber
2. Enviro-photo Journalism - for the photography enthusiasts, this is your time to shine.
3. Pasafest - share your own culture and local delicacies to everyone.
4. CAMP Idol - a performance night of cultural dance.
5. Poster Making - express your creative side through visual art
6. Quiz bee - the most coveted competition knowledge in both school and subcamp categories
7. Essay writing - show us how your literary work makes a difference in our changing world
The competitions are either individual or team categories. Specific guidelines and criteria for judging are elaborated in the guidelines. If you still don’t have a copy, please let us know so we can furnish one for you.
